,Nobody Wants This creator Erin Foster shared how she pitched Leighton Meester’s season two role.
“We came up with such a fun character. We went to Adam first, like, ‘What do you think of this idea?’ He was like, ‘I think that she would be so great at it. Do it. Ask her.’ And she was so game and so excited. She is an underrated comedian.”
As for Leighton’s scenes with Adam, who plays Noah, the 42-year-old added, “I intentionally put a few fun little lines in there that I think people are going to enjoy.”
The cast certainly did, especially after Erin screened the first episode for Kristen and Adam.
“They were really, really, really happy,” the writer noted. “Kristen had seen it already because she’s a producer on the show, but Adam hadn’t seen it yet, and he literally said to me. ‘No notes. I love it.’”
